Amy Ryan was born on 30 November 1969 in Queens, New York, U.S.A. She joined the Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Center. She graduated at the age of seventeen from the High School Of Performing Arts, New York. She went on to join the National Tour of Biloxi Blues, and has worked in Off-Broadway theatre. Her journey on Broadway began with ‘The Sisters Rosenweig‘. She has also appeared in ‘The Three Sisters’, ‘Uncle Vanya’, ‘The Women’ and ‘The Streetcar Named Desire’.
She has acted in various TV series and in some films. Her journey of acting in the TV shows passes through the series like ‘As The World Turns’, ‘I’ll Fly Away’ , ‘Brooklyn Bridge’, ‘ER‘, Chicago Hope’, ‘The Naked Truth’, ‘The Wire’ ‘The Office’, etc. She has played three different roles (Ellen, Paris and Rebecca) in ‘100 Center Street‘.
