Jenna Fischer was born on 7 March 1974 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S. She is the daughter of Jim Fischer and Anne Fischer. She has a younger sister named Emily. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She studied at Pierremont Elementary School and at the Nerinx Hall High School. She attended the Truman State University from where she received the degree of B.A in theatre with a minor in journalism. She was married to Hollywood filmmaker James Gunn, and they remained married for several years (2000-2008). She is currently reported to be dating screenwriter Lee Kirk.
She had been a receptionist and administrative assistant before starting her career in acting. She appeared for minor roles in small indie films and in TV shows. She acted in ‘Six Feet Under‘, ‘That ’70s Show’, ‘Cold Case‘, ‘Miss Match‘, ‘Strong Medicine‘, ‘What I Like About You‘, ‘Off Centre‘ and ‘Spin City‘.
