Rainn Wilson, also known as Rainn Dietrich Wilson is an American actor. His mother, Shay Cooper was a yoga teacher and father Robert G. Wilson was a novel writer and business consultant as well. Rainn went to Kellogg Middle School and Shorecrest High School. When his family moved to Wilmette, Illinois in order to serve at the Bahá’í National Center, he joined New Trier High School and received his graduation from the same. Rainn Wilson has also taught acting and he got his Master of Fine Arts from Tisch School of the Arts of The New York University. He also had been a member of The Acting Company.
On HBO Channel’s ‘Six Feet Under’, Rainn appeared as the eccentric Arthur Martin, an intern at Fisher & Diaz Funeral Home. Among his next appearances are ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit‘, CSI, Numb3rs and Entourage etc. In an episode, entitled Mr. Monk Goes to the Ballgame of ‘Monk’, Wilson made a guest appearance portraying the character of a murderous baseball fan. In an episode of Charmed, Rainn portrayed Kierkan, an alchemist. In 2007, Rainn started hosting Saturday Night Live following the foot steps of Steve Carell. He did several ads for the 2007 United States women’s national soccer team during the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup. He also made guest appearances on Cartoon Network’s Tim and Eric Awesome Job, Great Job. Among his next movie credits are Almost Famous, America’s Sweethearts, Galaxy Quest, BAADASSSSS!, House of 1000 Corpses, Sahara, The Last Mimzy, Juno and My Super Ex-Girlfriend etc.
Wilson was also seen on The Rocker, portraying an important character. He also served as the co-writer and co-producer for Bonzai Shadowhands. Rainn also wrote and is co-producing Renaissance Men. In the Monsters vs. Aliens, Rainn gave his voice to the evil alien overlord Gallaxhar. In the upcoming production ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’, he would be seen playing a University professor.
Rainn Wilson met his life partner Holiday Reinhorn, a writer in an acting class in college and they later got married on the Kalama River, now residing in Agoura Hills, California. Their son is named Walter Mackenzie, born in 2004.

Rainn Wilson appears as Dwight Kurt Schrute on ‘The Office’ tv show. He’s one of the top-most salesmen, in the beginning of the series, at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Supply Company. Although the man lacks social skills and common sense but has won several awards for his successes. He likes paintball, karate and innumerous other weapons and has an impressive array of weaponry. His character is derived from Gareth Keenan of the original British version of the series. Dwight is habitual of speaking in halting manner. During the second season of series, Dwight develops a secret relationship with Angela Martin. Wholly, he has very important part to play in the premise of the show and works as a series regular.
