No ‘confirmation’ about the sixth season of ‘The Office’
The announcement made by Angela Bromstad, president, Primetime Entertainment forced me to italicize the word confirmation in the title of the post. The words were like “We want the devoted fans of these series to know that we are thrilled that these quality programs will be back with the same high-caliber episodes that viewers have come to expect”. The show under consideration, other than ‘The Office‘, was ‘30 Rock’. The confirmation of the sixth season of The Office is meaningless, as long as nobody knows when it’d be premiered and how many episodes it’d have. It has been several months since the announcement of the season was made but not a single word from Network’s side has come after that. It has left the fans wondering about the future of the show.
Till May 14, 2009, fans of the series were not very apprehensive as The Office was on air with the fifth season and they were sure that before the season would end, some announcement regarding the next season would be made. But, as the episode entitled ‘Company Picnic’ marked the end of the fifth season, all fans of The Office’, were left high and dry as no body had any idea about the future of the show. Looking into the matter gives me just a single conclusion that the NBC Network is planning to drive the curiosity of the fans to its extreme. Details are being kept hidden and would be. Let’s see when they spill the beans!
A little review of The Office season 5 finale, ‘Company Picnic’ for those who couldn’t catch it. Here, we saw that Michael and Holly joined up as it was the annual Dunder Mifflin company picnic. Once again, Michael failed to express his feelings to Holly. The volleyball tournament happened to be a good one as the Scranton branch did well.
