The Office seasons are a Romantic Parody-Satire full of comedy. This sitcom has been created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant but developed by Greg Daniels. The office season 6 has been premiered with 101st episode ‘Gossip’ at 9:00 PM ET on 17th September, 2009. The Opening musical theme has been given by Jay Ferguson. It is being broadcasted originally on NBC (United States), Global (Canada) and Comedy Central (UK). It uses 480i (SDTV) and 1080i (HDTV) Picture and Dolby Digital audio format.
The Office seasons portray the daily life of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the imaginary Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. The characters openly recognize the presence of camera. It is shot in a single-camera setup without any laugh track or studio audience to give the impression of a real documentary. The ensemble cast of the show includes Michael Scott, the head of branch who feels that his employees love and respect him very much which is opposite to reality. Jim Halpert develops a relationship with the receptionist Pam Beesly and often seen having rivalry with Dwight Schrute, an award winning salesman, because of their contradictory personalities.
The office season1 was premiered on March 24, 2005 which won its time slot with largest number of viewers. Many of its episodes were rerun on CNBC on audience demand. All the office seasons have shown growth in viewer ship by millions. Since its release the show has won more than 20 awards for several categories from Golden Globe Awards, Television Critics Association Award, Emmy Awards, Women’s Image Network Awards, Rose d’Or Awards, Screen Actors Guild Award, American Cinema Editors -Eddie Award, Writers Guild of America Award, Producers Guild Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Peabody Awards, Webby Awards and Daytime Emmy Awards.
